Kayaking At Lynx Lake Pictured Above

What a picturesque setting! Water like glass paddling  on  a crystal  clear mountain lake.  Wow is this to dye for or what?  Lynx Lake in The Prescott National Forrest is a quiet setting for an afternoon outing that you will remember for a long time.

Located off Hwy 69 on Walker Road about 4 miles behind Costco. Lynx easy to get to and is nestled in the Ponderosa Pines. There is a hiking trail that connects to The Prescott Highlands Center mentioned above. There is a little known restaurant called The Lynx Lake Restaurant/Store & Bait Shop that overlooks the lake from high above that is frequented by hummingbirds buzzing around their nectar feeders for all to enjoy as you dine.  The human cuisine is European with a German night and live music.  Enjoy the gift shop and the many taxidermy native animals including the local favorite the famous Jackalope . Your fishing information is available in the bait shop area.  Lynx Lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout & has Bass, Sunfish, Bluegill & Catfish.  Just stroll down the hill to the lake and check out the recreation area at the boat dock. You can choose between canoeing, rowboats, paddle boats & electric motor boats to rent.  You can even walk all the way around the lake on the hiking trail to enjoy the animals and the scenic beauty.  This tour can be combined with The Highlands Center Tour or done separately. If you are planning to include the restaurant in your tour, it is open Thursday-Sunday.
